I'm considering my components for a mid-to-high range gaming setup. The Ryzen 7 5800X looks promising, but I'm concerned about the reviews. It's one of the most popular high-performance CPUs from Ryzen, yet people are worried about its reliability. I don't intend to overclock it and was thinking about water cooling, though I'm uncertain now. I'm not sure if I should still choose the 5800X. My thought is to go with the 5900X, but it's tough to find it right now. I just need some opinions and suggestions. Thanks!
I tried it with a Noctua DH15-S, it can reach 85°C when pushing at full power, but you can reduce that. In games where mine boost is set to 4.85Ghz it stays between 73-75°C. You might achieve a steady overclock using a fixed voltage and keep temperatures down.
