Hello, your plan to switch from 16GB to 32GB RAM is feasible. Using a refurbished or used set can save you money, but consider the reliability and warranty aspects before purchasing. Used RAM may have minor wear, so ensure it’s in good condition and check reviews. Regarding degradation, modern RAM components are designed to last many years with proper care, though performance can vary slightly over time.

Usually it works until it stops. If you notice it operating or has a way to return in case of DOA, I wouldn't hesitate.

It's a solid choice, really outperforming newer models if you're focusing on essential components like the crucial 2666 bare PCB (4600+ C18 1.6V+). You'll probably need to match your RAM unless they share the same revision, but it should work well for the 3200 model since it runs at a moderate pace.

RAM stands out as one of the most dependable parts in your setup—meaning they tend to last the longest. Its consistency is impressive enough that many manufacturers provide lifetime or extended warranties. If you spot a perfect fit for your current configuration, it’s a solid choice.
