Hi everyone, I observed that the FolderSize tool found network shortcuts in C:\Users\MSI\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts. These appear in Explorer but consume a lot of space. They’re just shortcuts, and I’m using Windows 11 Home with no synchronization.

It seems there might be an issue where the display shows the size of the NAS rather than the actual shortcut size. Check the properties for the drive size details.

It's actually consuming more space, the NAS is also significantly larger, which likely isn't the issue.

The offline file storage feature is available on Windows 11 Pro and likely also on Home editions.

I verified my laptop and confirmed it has the sync center. It's running Windows 11 Home, version 22H2, preinstalled on an ASUS device. You might not be using an admin account, or MSI could have made adjustments.

It's not an MSI image anymore. I changed it. Sync center is there but you cannot configure it. At least for me te manage offline files button does not do anything and the lack of registry settings tells me the functionality is not there. Despite the GUI being

Windows 11 Home lacks offline storage options, which might mean the space isn't being used much. Typically, shortcuts take less than 10KB.
