Short RGB ram?
Short RGB ram?
Please let me know which DDR4 brand or brands you prefer, and I’ll provide you with a list.
I’d likely avoid anything labeled as trustworthy. I’m not keen on pushing hardware beyond normal limits and have only casually experimented with it, so I’m not in a rush to upgrade to something extreme like Samsung b-die or micron e-die. As long as the RAM comes from a solid manufacturer, things should be fine. Right now I’m using Goodram iRDM Pro White, which most people don’t even know about, yet I’ve never heard of PCs failing because of it.
Sure, I'll adjust my response accordingly. Based on your setup, you should use RAM sticks with a height of no more than 32mm. I'll follow up soon regarding this.
The front fan can be shifted slightly higher to fit taller RAM modules, which is why I referenced around 40mm in my first comment. I was mainly interested in discovering the smallest RAM model that still includes Le epic gamer lighting, since the sellers didn’t include RAM height in their details.
What RAM color are you using now? For a blackout build, options like GSKILL Ripjaws, Ballistix, or any dark-colored RAM should work. You might want to rearrange the front fan or remove it completely—this could slightly increase temperatures, but with a 5800X it shouldn’t be too severe given how efficient AMD chips are.
This model comes with the exact RAM I own—it really suits a white build, though it stands out quite a bit since there aren’t many other white options. My setup includes an RGB strip along the power supply housing plus two 180mm fans that also have RGB lighting, which adds a nice touch. The black and RGB theme really complements the overall design.
In a blackout setup something white will stand out sharply, if you don’t need much storage just grab any affordable black RAMs in RGB. What’s being offered at reasonable prices looks good for now, but TForce Delta RGB might be better value. You could even consider more eye-catching options like Team Extreme Argb.
Sorry. I have nothing to recommend if the clearance is only 40mm and the 3600mhz RAM have to be RGB. If you want to still use NH-D15 with dual fans and with RGB RAMS at the same time - I suggest you reconfigure your NH-D15 2 fans as both pull configurations. So that you'll have a max 64mm clearance(per design) for your RAM with RGB.
I'm considering checking the pull settings or removing the second fan completely. Since I'm already undervolting the chip, I might be able to use just one fan. If not, I'll replace this setup with a black alternative and avoid drawing attention. Thanks for your thoughts and input—it helps a lot!
You can keep all push configurations by swapping the first intake fan for a 120mm unit (recommendation: NF-A12x25 chromax..black). It's better to use multiple fans instead of just one. Brackets are designed for 120mm compatibility, and this setup will improve RAM clearance.
