I'm not sure about a Dazzle for Windows 7, but you might need a Windows XP or Vista virtual machine to run it. Your dad could try that if he needs to convert VHS tapes to digital files.

If it functions with Vista, you might opt for a 32-bit edition of Windows 7 (probably). However, I question whether you or your dad run a 32-bit version. It seems simpler to use a virtual machine or try it on Windows 7! The page mentions compatibility: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/uk...corder-hd/ Even for Windows 8?

It seems your system is running Windows 7, but you're unsure whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit.

It should function without needing any downloads. No program required to activate it. Just follow your topic as planned.

The drivers and capture tools required were utilized, specifically Sony Vegas. With the driver installed, nearly any capture software could be employed.

I believe you might need Pinnacle Studios tools (the creators). Yet this clip claims you can achieve it without them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7reoGBO-IPY But I think what @ lani100 mentioned is possible—just use Sony Vegas, and if you lack it, you could purchase it or try a free trial.
