Shift the battlefield 4 to a new location.
Hey! To speed up your Battlefield 4, move it to an SSD. When you transfer it, make sure you select the correct folder type—don’t just say “download.” Also, check that you have enough space; with only 7 GB left, you might need to free up some storage or use a different location.
Press click to download; it will locate the files you've already installed and confirm you're ready. Adjust the settings to set the installation directory on your SSD.
You have the option to modify your installation directory, and it should locate it. Is BF4 the sole game from that source installed?
Origin searches for the game in the folder where you installed it. If you move to the same folder as your BF4 file, it will recognize it automatically. I've tried this several times—old folders still function well. Just update the installation path each time you install a game, keeping it in the same location. Unlike Steam, Origin restricts you to one installation directory, though previously installed games remain usable even if they're not in the active folder.
I chose to reinstall, thinking I understand the process now. If you click download and pause the download when it starts, copying the files should make it seem like it’s already downloaded. I haven’t tried it yet.
