I've been experiencing similar discomforts moving from console to PC over the past couple of months. I ended up playing games like FPS and Rogue-like titles, which turned out to have a great difficulty progression and are quite enjoyable. They also improve my accuracy and reflexes quickly. It could be worth trying—at most you might find a cheap game that's a fun distraction.

It's actually the reverse: You possess more time and greater control over everything. However, your mind still has a delay in processing the previous negative experience, and with patience, time will help it heal. Your mind will adjust to the new, accurate understanding, and you'll improve quickly.

It doesn't move any quicker, so you'll need to adapt to it

Perhaps... If this holds, OP might start with slower games before tackling the quicker ones
