She turned on CPU graphics but still can't capture video. She's concerned about removing the GPU, since last time they had to visit the store. It seems installing the GPU driver might allow her to use the monitor, while integrated graphics won't work.
Check if you're using Windows 10. If yes, it should work. Older versions might not. Avoid disabling it in Device Manager. Download DDU and the newest driver, disconnect from the internet, run DDU, then restart and install the updated driver.
