She altered the Fallout 4 game and it keeps freezing.
I just assembled a new PC for my mom so she won’t have to deal with the PS4 jet engine anymore. Here are the details: CPU – R5 2400G, Motherboard – ASUS Prime B350 Plus, RAM – 2x4GB GSKILL Ripjaws V @3000MHz, Storage – Samsung 850 EVO 256GB SSD plus a 2TB HDD, Power Supply – Corsair RM650i. She plays at 1280x720p. The game frequently crashes, especially during loading screens where the screen stays black until we close and restart. It also randomly crashes multiple times daily. Could it be insufficient RAM or the GPU is the issue? Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Her mod list includes Nexus Mod Manager, and I’m following the recommended order. Thank you in advance.
If the mods aren't functioning properly, they can quickly cause the game to crash. Adding that many mods is quite dangerous because of the risk of crashes. Mods might not play well together or the sequence could be problematic.
A simple method to check for mod conflicts is to install LOOT, which will indicate whether any mods are incompatible or outdated compared to the latest Fallout 4 release. The most accurate approach is to turn off all mods, gradually turn them back on while playing and using a clean save file, which will help you identify the problematic mods by causing crashes.
If you have two mods that are incompatible or they are in the wrong load order it can cause crashing. unless you have literally the exact same mods with the exact same versions and the exact same load order I would say there is a good chance that the mods are the issue.
The integrated vega 11 from apu is what led me to leave a gpu out of the list initially. Thanks for understanding, I’ll keep it in mind moving forward. ^^
