It varies by game. I tested GTA 4 and M&B at full settings with high antialiasing, but resolution adjustments didn’t help much. Cyberpunk used low/medium settings while keeping aliasing at 16. For Spider-Man (medium/high), I lowered aliasing to 8 for a smoother feel.
I notice a visual issue where everything appears to have low texture quality. This could stem from either the game design or a VRAM limitation. Comparing GTA4 and Cyberpunk, both are older titles that struggle with full high-resolution textures on a GTX1660. However, the water effects in M&B seem to be the main source of the glitches. If those specific issues persist, it likely points to M&B rather than the developers. You might try using higher texture settings in Cyberpunk and adjusting other options to see if it improves the experience. Even if it doesn’t work perfectly, you’ll have a clearer idea of what’s causing the problem.
Cyberpunk on Ultra slightly hides the problem, though it remains. If I played this way, I wouldn't mind it much. I could enable AMD FSR for better frame rates, but it still lowers resolution and makes edges sharper. Concerning water issues, M&B is most affected, but similar problems appear in Cyberpunk (refer to attached clips). I've tried DDU and reinstalled Windows, which seemed to help with other aspects too. Got a noticeable performance increase in Spider-Man, now I can run at around 60fps on Ultra with stable playback. Interesting, though the rough edges persist (see attached video). Please note: all examples are played at maximum settings. Hello! I’m interested in joining the no AA club. I’ve been dealing with this for a year now. Initially, I thought it was due to compatibility issues between my old hardware and the new GPU, but after upgrading to a Ryzen 5600G, the problem continues with my ASUS GTX 1650OC. Removing the GPU would make things run better, though performance would drop significantly. It’s frustrating, and I hope someone can help clarify this.
No one has shared a fix yet, and it seems identical issues appear in several titles on AMD systems.
Opt for a sharper screen and consider AA if you notice rough edges. 1080p isn't considered high resolution either. Some games still show jaggies and flickering regardless of your settings or AA quality because the implementation is poor—like Dark Souls 3. Final Fantasy 16 demonstrates this with shimmering effects even at 4K using TAA.
