Sharp outlines, sparkling effects, digital locks in every title
Sharp outlines, sparkling effects, digital locks in every title
Over the past couple of years I've faced some visual problems while playing various games on my new PC. I noticed jagged edges, pixelated hair, water effects, and reflections. I tried numerous solutions from online sources, but nothing resolved the issue. My attempts included: updating and downgrading drivers, adjusting antialiasing settings in the NVidia Control Panel, using NVidia's overlay for sharpening or softening visuals, tweaking in-game anti-aliasing options, cleaning or reinstalling the graphics card, testing on different monitors (1366x768 Samsung, 4K Philips TV), switching HDMI to DisplayPort with various cables, and more. At first I assumed the problem stemmed from my old monitor not syncing well with a newer GPU, so I upgraded to a 1080p model. Unfortunately, the issues persisted. It seems each game displays a noisy overlay that distorts edges and makes rendering difficult. What might be causing this? Could changing the graphics card fix it? I've attached screenshots and videos for reference. Help would be greatly appreciated!
We don’t have visual references; we rely on descriptions instead of images.
The main reason I upgraded to 1440p was the rough edges, mainly due to TAA and sharpening. Once I exceeded 1080p, those issues disappeared.
I included the files, though they didn't upload properly—here goes.
Grand Theft Auto 4 2023.03.14 - 13.29.07.03.mp4
Mount & Blade Ii Bannerlord 2023.03.14 - 14.04.57.08.mp4
It looks like the graphics settings are missing in all the games. 1080p isn’t extremely high resolution, yet it shouldn’t appear as though the graphics are completely disabled. Have you attempted to reset the software and reinstall Windows, or switched to another GPU? I believe minor adjustments won’t help, so it might be time for more significant changes to check if there’s an impact.
Everyone I see is just going through the motions with minor details. There’s no better way than pushing as hard as possible and hoping things turn out okay.
