You’re looking to transfer your Steam games from one laptop to another using network sharing. Since both devices have network sharing turned on, you should be able to access the shared files directly without re-downloading. Check the settings on your desktop to ensure the Steam client is running and the shared folder is visible.

Use Steam's backup tool, transfer the saved files, and set up a new installation from there.

Maybe it’s better to use a regular USB stick instead of a flash drive.

Your external hard drive may be too small, or it could be filling up all available space with game files.

Steam will squeeze them significantly. What quantity are you referring to?

Ensure you have a P2P setup ready. Move the files to the destination and begin the transfer. Once done, open Steam on the target PC and configure the copy location as a Steam Library. You’re all set to play.
