win+r, type "services.msc" locate the Internet Connection Sharing right click select properties, on startup type select automatic not automatic delay then click start and okay. reboot your machine and see if it works.

It seems a USB Wi-Fi adapter is actually easier to use than constantly plugging in an Ethernet cable.
