Sure, perhaps I'll just save them for when something happens to the wife's 6300 on a gigabyte 970 SLI card.

I also disliked that feature. It was a big drop in performance versus the K10.5 chips I tested, regardless of their speed.

I hear you about not killing it.
I just step in to cover the slack on my GPU's.
On my Zotac GTX 1070 Ti, the stock core clk is 1607, boost clk at 1683.
Firestrike and Time Spy display 2000 with no voltage rise.
On the 3600x it started needing too much voltage to match the gains.
The core clk isn't impressive, but 4.325 at 1.30v and steady idle temps between 24 to 26°C without big spikes is better than what I had with the 2600x at 4.125v @1.35v.
