Hello, welcome! I see you're just starting with PCs and unsure about what to choose. You mentioned wanting to play video games and have a setup like an i5-12400f, RTX 3060, 12GB RAM, and a 500GB NVME SSD. You noticed many shops selling MOBO Asrocks B660M models and heard negative feedback about them. That’s a good point—quality matters. For your needs, a solid motherboard like the ASUS ROG Strix B660 or MSI MEG would be a solid choice. The image you mentioned could work if it’s a reputable brand, but always check reviews before buying. Let me know if you need more details!

The image shows a Gigabyte H610; I’d prefer the ASRock B660 because it offers more capabilities. Also, you should steer clear of single-channel configurations and consider adding another 8GB later for dual-channel performance.

Are you creating it yourself? For 1080p and 1440p it works, except for the RAM, 16GB is just enough.

The number 3060 likely refers to a specific model or specification. In many regions, the faster 6600xt is more affordable, making that price point relevant for buyers.

Prebuilt appears widely, but many areas find AMD prices high too.

I saw comments on this forum says, avoid Asrock b660m HDV. Because of watt or something. It's like, it requires 125w but the mobo only offered up to 95w. So the cpu not actually using its full cores. Correct me if I'm wrong. That's why I want to ask is it really an issue. Even videos on youtube says, asrock is worst.

Power restrictions are important to consider. While I don't favor ASRock options, the B660 spec seems superior to the H610. You can modify the memory and it's possible the ASRock B660M might cap at 95W, but the H610 could underperform. In real-world gaming scenarios, power limits usually only show up during full CPU usage tests, not everyday operation. Best to pick components yourself and check reviews for details.
