This could be useful for determining if your problem is common among other Intel 8th-gen systems after Meltdown and Spectre affected AIDA64 scores. Testing in Linux works as expected, yet the issue still shows up unpredictably.

Could be related to Windows if Linux works well.

It seems the issue might be related to Windows protections, possibly interacting with your specific hardware setup.

Feel free to share your Linux findings. Honestly, it probably won't be very important.

I resolved the problem by realizing BIOS virtualization was the cause. I restored an older BIOS version that reset my settings, then tested with AIDA64—everything worked. I applied the previous configurations and performance dropped significantly. I gradually adjusted each setting until I identified the issue. It’s not uncommon for it to be enabled, and few people mentioned this specific problem.

I own four HyperX Predator 2400Mhz CL12 sticks. Initially, I purchased two MFR dies, which gave better latency. The two new ones I received were B-die and CJR. It appears the CJR die is restricting my ability to lower tRCD and tRP, while the B-die isn’t being used effectively—having such a mix isn’t ideal.

I previously achieved 98,000 MB/s on my older Threadripper with quad-channel. I didn't take a screenshot.

The issue with a locked CPU and DDR5 is quite challenging. Are you using Geekbench 2?

The B660-G handles BCLK and operates at 4.7ghz instead of 4ghz (maximum set during lockup). It's functioning with gear 2, delivering solid performance. Results seem good. The CPU still has a lot of capacity remaining.
