Shadowplay videos freezing/laggy/stuttering???
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, focusing on clarity and flow:
“I’m incredibly frustrated with the recording quality in Ubisoft’s games – specifically, how laggy it is when capturing highlights. I have a decent gaming setup: an NVIDIA GTX 960SSC graphics card, an Intel i7 processor, and 12GB of RAM. I've taken measures to mitigate this issue by saving recordings to a separate hard drive, but the problem persists. While I can play *Rainbow Six Siege* smoothly with high FPS, when I try to record those moments as highlights, the video output is noticeably delayed and choppy. It’s especially bad during critical gameplay segments. I'm running Ubisoft’s game (Uplay) in the background while recording, but that hasn’t solved the problem. I realize I haven't posted here in a long time – about three or four years! – so I'm hoping someone might have suggestions on how to improve this situation.”
Here’s the rewritten text:
Process Hacker is a powerful tool for recording activity on your computer. To use it effectively, you'll need to prioritize the nvcontainer.exe application. Right-click on nvcontainer.exe within Process Hacker and select "Priority" then choose "Realtime." At the bottom of the window, select “Save as nvcontainer.exe.”
From this point forward, even without Process Hacker running, your GeForce graphics card will automatically record video whenever it detects activity, giving its full attention to the game. This bypasses any calls from the game to the operating system.
You can achieve a similar effect using Task Manager, but you'll need to repeat this process each time you want to record. Alternatively, limiting your in-game FPS slightly can give the OS more resources for your graphics card.
Thank you, sir. However, the hacker process isn’t appearing to function correctly. I’ve closed and reopened it several times, but it's not saving my settings even with priority set to high. It consistently displays a message requesting administrator permission, which I click to continue, and it then works, but after restarting the application, the same prompt reappears – it seems like it isn't preserving the changes. Additionally, I’m unable to locate an option within the settings to enable startup upon computer launch. Could you advise?
You do not require this setting to be active when the system begins, particularly if the application is not currently in use. Please execute the icon by selecting “Run as administrator” via right-click to grant permanent modification permissions when launching the software.
I understand now, thank you. However, it’s still experiencing occasional stutters and delays. It's perplexing since the computer specifications haven’t changed and I’ve reviewed previous recordings that are completely smooth – with no lag at all.
ok actually a little update for anyone who bothers. i really can not tell if it is working because i will set the priority to high but it just keeps going back to normal administrator is not making a difference :/
Initially, when transitioning from an AMD card to a ShadowPlay-equipped GPU – specifically an EVGA 1080 SC acquired approximately a year prior – I encountered an issue where Instant Replay clips exhibited pixelation and stuttering at the video’s conclusion. This didn't occur during gameplay itself. Numerous users reported this on the GeForce Forum, accompanied by demonstration videos, and Nvidia representatives occasionally intervened, unable to reproduce the problem. It took over four months for Nvidia to resolve it, and they never acknowledged the issue publicly on the forum until it was corrected. The only indication of the problem and its solution appeared in brief notes within their driver release announcements.
Therefore, I recommend you raise this concern on the GeForce Forum, detailing your complete hardware and operating system specifications along with the capture mode you’re utilizing. Please understand that I'm not implying a fault in the drivers or GeForce Experience; rather, you might discover if other users with comparable equipment are experiencing similar difficulties. It would also be beneficial to mention any background applications running to rule out potential software conflicts.
