The system identifies a 64-bit OS but installs only a 32-bit version of OpenEncode. Adjust the install.bat file accordingly. Modify the relevant section to target the 64-bit installation if needed. Ensure the correct path and DLL files are used based on your Windows version.

I notice the REM No 64bit entry in the package list. It looks like it might be missing, but I’ll keep an eye on it. Planning to verify later. Sounds intriguing!

It looks okay from my perspective, but the color might need adjustment. Are there any ways to correct it?

Just returned after posting. At 12:09am I hadn't installed the x64 version. I informed MSI's Afterburner about using VFWx32 instead of VFW x64, which improved stability. Noted the color problems too; I'll experiment further tomorrow and share updates. I was really excited and have been recording Titanfall at 1080p/30fps@50Mbps with DXtory. It only captures at 30fps, while MSI can use the codec for 60fps. Syncing game frames to recording frames might help, though it's not perfect at 30fps. I might have been too eager when posting, but more testing is needed. See you tomorrow.

I understand this update isn't the latest, but I'm curious if there are newer options available. Performance seems to vary—Gaming Evolved+GVR gives better results with noticeable frame improvements, while DXtory often causes a drop of 10 FPS or more. What might be going wrong? Have you tried it for a while now? Is this kind of performance decline typical?

For users of Open Broadcaster Software, the VCE build can be found at the provided link. It works well for streaming CPU-intensive games, though its quality at different bitrates is slightly less than x264.

I know this is old but I was wondering if you guys fixed the color issue. As of right now I'm trying to install it for my Dxtory but the codec isn't showing up. Trying to reinstall Dxtory right now.

The problem lies in the color format. H.264 uses YUV, not RGB, which can cause mismatched colors during playback with tools like Shadowplay, x264, AMD VCE, QuickSync, etc.

Yes, you can achieve consistent colours by adjusting the settings or using compatible codecs. Try switching to a different codec profile or optimizing the display configuration.
