I prefer to refer to it as 1080p, since it seems to fit well with the display output. It also supports recording a desktop, though it can work in both directions.

It didn't work properly for me. I was playing Bioshock Infinite at 4k to 1080p and only captured audio. When I tried comparing videos, it recorded just fine at 1080p. I'm unsure what settings I changed, but the game ran okay—though not very smoothly. I was just comparing it, and it looked amazing but had a lot of frame drops. I expected better performance, especially with 4k, but the GPU was the issue. It wasn't the 4GB of RAM I thought it would be. I didn't anticipate this problem. Anyone know why it didn't record at 1080p?
