Hi everyone. I just upgraded my rig from a 1660ti to a 2080 that I purchased secondhand on eBay. With the upgrade I also upgraded my CPU cooler (H115i link) and case (new one). I checked everything through PCPartPicker and online sources, and everything looks good. The problem I’m facing is that my PSU (SF600) only has two PCIe ports, while the H115i needs one and the 2080 requires two. I’ve heard you can buy a dual PCIe cable for the 2080, but I haven’t found a reliable source for it on Amazon or similar sites. I’m considering two paths: 1) install a dual PCIe adapter, with advice welcome, or 2) sell my current SF600 for around £100 and buy a new SF850L for about £150. Is using a dual PCIe cable acceptable? Do you have any recommendations or links to purchase one? Thanks!

Confirmed yes. Two 8-pin PCIe cables are available. I noticed you can find an 8-pin to dual 2+6 pin PCIe cable. I’m not sure about its quality, but it’s the H115i model. It connects to a hub rather than the motherboard for power and manages fans, with the hub receiving power from a 6-pin to an 8-pin PCIe on the PSU. It’s been a while since I worked on a build because of work commitments. The last time I opened up the PC and made any changes was four years ago!
Modern power sources built for daisy chained 8-pin cables aim to deliver up to 300W via one cable. This setup would prevent connecting multiple 8-pin devices directly from the same source. Each 8-pin contributes around 150W, making this configuration efficient and safe.
I think it makes sense to combine two SATA power supplies into one six-pin connector for the I/O link. It seems like the device doesn’t require a full PCIe port for just a single AIO, so using one larger supply could handle multiple fans and coolers efficiently.

Corsair's version works adequately even for high-power GPUs (up to 375W), provided the cable carries only 300W. Keep in mind that less reliable brands, such as Seasonic, often use inferior MiniFit Jr. terminals and 18AWG wires, making them unsuitable for GPUs with a TDP exceeding 225W.
