Hey everyone, I just got my girlfriend’s first PC online after replacing her old Asus Tuf 570x plus with an MSI B550M Wi-Fi model. After updating the BIOS with the flash feature, I managed to post successfully. However, the 5700X is now heating up rapidly—starting from about 55°C and reaching around 90°C. I turned it off because I’m worried about potential damage. The cooling system using a Corsair H100i seems to be working, but I’ve double-checked everything. I reapplied thermal paste, tightened the fan properly, and confirmed the fans are facing the right direction with good airflow through the radiator. Despite all that, the pump block is vibrating strongly while it keeps getting hotter. I’ve looked through forums but haven’t found any solutions.

It looks like the pump might have air inside or is completely failed. Try relocating the device and giving it a gentle shake to release any trapped gas. If the issue persists and the unit becomes hotter, the pump is likely dead.

We settled on returning the pump and used a standard air cooler instead, which is performing nicely. Appreciate your response!
