Hey everyone, morning! So my gaming rig sits idle most of the week, it's an older Intel i5-4690K CPU running at 3.50GHz base speed. It has 4 cores, 16GB of RAM, and a few other specs listed. The GPU is a decent old thing, but I'm running into some performance hiccups.

Right now it boots in about 2-3 minutes, which is slower than expected. I know things can slow down over time, but this feels unusual. It's mostly used for browsing, coding, and some games like WoW and Minecraft. The issue seems to be that it takes a long time to start up, even though I'm not really using it for heavy gaming.

I checked my emails and system status, but everything looks okay. The SSD is still there, but it's not showing up fast enough. I'm wondering if the drive might be failing or if Microsoft has a habit of phasing out older hardware. It's been running for about 15 minutes now, and it finally feels a bit snappy. Still, it's frustrating because I don't want to upgrade just yet.

Let me know if you have any ideas or steps I should take!

This seems a bit unusual. I believe it's a SATA SSD, and you should verify the speed on it—it should be around 600 MB/s.

Consider the SSD, erase it securely, then reinstall the image.

During startup, the drive indicator stays illuminated for more than 15 to 30 seconds. This suggests a potential problem with the drive.
