Ironically, cutscenes are likely the simplest to steal. Even without being uploaded to YouTube, you just need recording tools to capture them and use them however you like.
Don't take it personally. There will definitely be plenty of gameplay videos on YouTube, just like with other big AAA titles. That doesn't mean piracy is happening. AAA piracy has largely faded after Denuvo improvements. Most major developers have already moved on.
I'm not sure about what you meant by posting gameplay content being piracy. You were responding to a suggestion that the streaming cutscene design might help prevent piracy. My view is that it's a weak strategy since anyone can record the cutscenes and share them freely. For those interested in pirating Quantum Break, bypassing the streaming will likely be the simplest step.
I understand your perspective now. Apologies, but to modify the game for prerendered cutscenes, crackers would need to adjust it slightly so it doesn't look up online during those moments. It seems the game likely uses Denuvo, which would prevent them from doing so.
This depends on how the game reacts when played without an internet connection.
I've never used a game with my Ethernet disconnected. I'd like to avoid any online tricks for the PC version.
Shadows appear very dark on xbone and textures occasionally face problems, yet individuals with cards like the 290x enjoy significantly more powerful hardware. It’s hoped that dx12 will benefit from this advantage.
I think you missed something, there are real-time cutscenes and there are live action episodes, only the latter of which are streamed because come on, who downloads 80gigabytes of game... Nothing to do with piracy in that regard. The game will look really good on PC, but only if there's a way around the resolution reconstruction, it's one of the things that makes the game look smeared and really dampens image quality in motion. I'd rather have a native resolution, even when it takes a bigger hit on hardware. Running this on ultra shouldn't be a problem (unless it's a broken piece of shit like Gears of War: UE) for higher end PCs.
