I've purchased games before and this has happened again—Just Cause 3 and now Splinter Cell Blacklist. It starts but nothing happens. Checking Task Manager shows it running in background processes. Right now I don’t have antivirus installed, though I read it might cause problems. My system specs are solid enough for Splinter Cell: I’m using an Acer Predator Helios 300 with a Core i7-7700HQ and a GTX 1060 (6GB). Windows 10 64-bit is fine. I just want to enjoy the games I paid for. Thanks for any advice you can give.
The problem lies not in my desire for it to be in the background, but in the game only launching there, preventing actual play.
