It seems like the problem might be related to the power supply unit. After replacing the graphics card, the system initially worked well for a couple of days but kept failing. The blue screen appeared after playing a game, followed by crashes and inability to launch other programs like 3DMark or Chrome. I suspect the issue could stem from the PSU, as it now makes unusual clicking sounds that weren’t present before.
Here they are:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3000mhz
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge Wifi
GPU: 6800 XT Nitro+ SE (previously PowerColor Red Dragon)
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i (newest, bought Dec 2022)
2x SATA SSDs, 1x NVME, Windows originally on one but failed to install on NVME
Occurs even with or without rebar, no GPU overclocking, stock CPU settings tried but unsuccessful.
Reviewed the Event Viewer logs. The frequent errors since the problem started include 4e, 1a, and instances of 3b, 139, and be. It seems drivers might be the source of the issue.
I don’t have any other software besides MW2, Fortnite, and 3DMark installed for testing purposes, so I turned off the system via the BIOS. When I attempted a MW2 test, it crashed and displayed a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error screen. I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic shortly after and it reported no issues at all. It seems the motherboard might be the source of the problem.
In case anyone encounters a similar problem, the root cause turned out to be the RAM. Although I’m not sure why, replacing all components except RAM and the CPU resolved the issue.
