Setup for Enthusiast Splitter and Controller Fans
Setup for Enthusiast Splitter and Controller Fans
Hi everyone. I'm currently putting together a new build and have a query I'd like the experts to clarify. In this ambitious setup, I plan to install two 480mm radiators, each with eight fans arranged in a push-pull setup, giving a total of 16 fans. I understand it might be excessive, but that's the goal here.
My main concern is whether it's feasible to use a fan splitter—like the Silverstone CPF04—to link each radiator's fans to the splitter, then connect it to a fan controller that fits into an HDD bay. I'm considering options such as the NZXT Sentry Mix 2 or the Lamptron FC5V3, both of which support six channels and 30 watts per channel. One channel for front intake, one for rear exhaust, another for the top radiator, and another for the side radiator, leaving room for LED strips or similar. The case that would make this work is the Corsair 900d.
The splitter also connects to a SATA port on the PSU, and the fan controller uses a Molex connector to the PSU.
