setup for cirrus xr500
Hi, thank you for reaching out. I'm facing trouble configuring the XR500 since I don't have the right software, and it's located on a home network to boost my Wi-Fi coverage. Have anyone tried using a Cirrus Logic AP point?
It's likely Xirrus was acquired instead of Cirrus. This business has changed hands several times, making it difficult to determine which products were left behind. APs sold to commercial clients often come with management software, but these companies are seeking substantial licensing fees.
You might want to try placing the AP's IP address in a browser to configure it. Most of this equipment supports web-based configuration, which could provide full control instead of relying on costly management tools.
Using such devices is not recommended because they are outdated and only support 802.11n, now referred to as Wi-Fi 4.
