Whenever I adjust any configuration in the BIOS, or simply press save and exit without modifying anything, three beeps occur and the system won't start until I reset the CMOS.

It could be a faulty bios chip or a weak battery. You might consider updating the BIOS to a newer version and then check if the battery still provides 3 volts using a multimeter.
