Settings options and ways to speed up uploads
Instead of using a CRF, you can disable the "Custom x264 Encoder Settings" box, check "Use CFR" and set an actual bitrate back in your encoding tab. As-is, you're telling it to record as high quality as possible up to a certain quality level, so your bitrate can be between 0 and 70,000 kb/s. So set it around 15mb/s or something if your hard drives can handle it and go from there. No matter what - to a certain point - "Lowering your upload time" essentially means decreasing your video quality, so it's a tradeoff. Also, at least bump your audio up to 256kb/s. 128 is just garbage.
There’s no real method to cut upload times on YouTube. Improvement comes only if your ISP provides faster upload speeds. For finishing a project smoothly at 30fps or higher, you’ll likely need to export clips from OBS, edit them with a video tool, and then convert them to the desired format and settings.
Adjust the maximum bitrate to 15000 kbps. You can reduce file size while keeping noticeable quality by balancing compression settings.
When using a video editing tool, you can reduce its size even more, but each reduction makes it lower in quality. If you decide to do this, keep OBS settings unchanged (except for audio bitrate, which should be raised to 320). This ensures you begin with the best possible file.
What kind of guides do you offer? A price of 15,000 seems excessive for a simple voice clip—actually, it’s more than enough. You don’t need a very high bitrate if the visuals move smoothly at 15000 Kbps (about 112.5 MB per minute). Handbrake can help shrink files further. Lowering the bitrate during compression won’t match the quality of a multi-pass process with a slower CPU setting. For better results, opt for high bitrate first and then compress, or choose a slower CPU preset to enhance single-pass recordings.
