This recent update has really messed up GTA V now. I'm starting to wonder if I wasted my money. Every time I launch it, it forces me to use the brightness slider and all my preferences reset—except after the newest patch. It pushes me to accept the EULA each time online. If anyone knows a solution for this broken game, please let me know. Thanks for any help! I've already checked, and my settings files aren't locked. Plus, this patch is causing microstutter and constant crashes... Why would they have to break everything?

Check the game cache on Steam. Also, open the documents folder, go to Rockstar Games, and confirm the file isn’t marked as read-only. If it is, remove it. (Create a backup just in case.)
