Are there several Explorer windows active at once, or is it just a single window? You'll see the list only when an app opens enough windows to display the taskbar icons stacked.

I launch several instances, as far as I recall they don’t appear to be enabled by default in the mini preview. This happens even when using Multiple Windows Explorer or other applications.

My current settings reflect that even with multiple files open, ACAD is now in list mode.
