Settings for bios configuration
Hello, your new 1TB HDD arrived and you're setting up a fresh Windows 10 64-bit installation. You've adjusted the BIOS to boot from USB but haven't seen improvements yet. Your motherboard is an older Gigabyte S-series model with a very outdated BIOS menu that doesn’t appear in most installation guides.
I used a tool to generate the bootable file. If it's sufficiently old, you might need a version made for legacy BIOS rather than UEFI. You can obtain the Windows installer as an .iso and employ software like Rufus, which offers compatibility settings for older systems. The developer usually attempts to apply system preferences automatically, though this often isn't precise.
I used the standard Windows setup utility for the USB drive. I didn’t select the ISO file, so I’ll try using Rufus as you recommended and will keep you updated.
