Hello, I’m reaching out for the first time. I’m facing an issue with my RAM not reaching full speed. It’s currently running at 2133Mhz instead of the expected 3600Mhz. Many users have reported this problem, and I’ve tried several solutions without success. Here’s what I’ve done:

1. Verified my system compatibility via CPU-Z.
2. Updated BIOS to the latest version and applied XMP settings.
3. Used Ryzen Master and DRAM Calculator to adjust settings manually.
4. Found my configuration works but struggles to hit 3600Mhz.
5. In Ryzen Master, I encountered an error when trying to set XMP to 3600Mhz because the fabric clock exceeds the memory clock.

I’ve attached a screenshot of my current settings and the data I collected. Could you help me understand how to resolve this? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you adjusted the RAM manually to 3600 in BIOS without using XMP?

You have four DIMMs of RAM, which could be a factor. This issue affects both Intel and AMD systems. Having four DIMMs increases the workload on the CPU's Integrated Memory Controller (IMC). Also, your Infinity Fabric isn't configured to match DRAM settings. You're attempting DDR4-3600, but your interface speed is 3000 MHz. Consider enabling XMP to manually adjust DRAM timings and voltage. Try lowering the frequency slightly to see if stability improves first.

I didn't adjust everything at once. XMP is mostly set as I see it, so keep it that way. Stick with one change at a time—two or four steps. If your RAM isn't up to the task, reduce it. Or try the jumpers suggested by Linux.

Hi, I attempted the manual settings but it didn't work. I also tried the suggestions from "You, -rascal- and ROCKETF1." Please let me know if you'd like to see my reply to them. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi, I didn't try everything at once—it was a gradual process to get it working. I think the trick you mentioned really helped. From all your assistance, I managed to adjust the basic XMP settings on one stick at 1st speed above 2133, which worked. I then increased it to 3066 on all four sticks. After testing and tweaking DRAM calc, Ryzen Master, and other settings, I pushed all four sticks to 3600 and my CPU to 4.1. Thanks for your support! You can also see my replies to the others—I think this was a successful team effort. By the way, my Cinebench scores improved from 8486 to 9259.

You can achieve this via Ryzen Master, though it requires regular updates each time you restart or reboot the system. To keep things stable, load the "OC profile" consistently. For a more lasting solution, use Ryzen Master for temporary tweaks, then transfer those settings into the BIOS after confirming stability. Also, save the configuration as a BIOS profile to protect against losing changes if the CMOS battery fails or you need to reset the BIOS.

Hi, I would recommend 1st to set your XMP setting and manually set the memory to one setting higher than standard, if that works then you can go up the list until you reach the maximum it will handle before going onto other settings. I have followed some video's I will link that will help you. 1 2 remember to keep an eye on your ryzen master so you can watch the paramotors are in ok ex temp. It is a trial and error process so be patient and write down changes you are making so you can keep track of what settings you have tried, I went back and forward and even ended up using some of the same settings after I thought they didn't work originally. I have my CPU running at 4.1Mhz but if I run cinebench it runs hot, so I have ordered a better CPU fan, I will test it again then and adjust settings if needed, but running every day work my computer runs at 56 degrees. I run a stressful program every so often and need to get the best speed from my computer for that.
