Essentially, I was looking for a method to install Windows directly onto an M.2 drive using USB. I used an external enclosure and tried Rufus, but it didn’t recognize the device. I’m curious if there are alternative approaches to achieve this.

The instructions should function correctly if you grasped the query. Note: It may not allow installing the Pro version. The home option remains accessible.

Installing to USB drives isn't currently supported. Previously, Windows To Go was a common method for this task. https://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/faq/en...To-Go.html It's unclear what the best approach is today, but it might still be worth exploring.

The only change I made was noting that the free version doesn’t allow installing Pro, just the Home version. Here’s the link for reference: https://www.easyuefi.com/wintousb/comparison.html
