Long ago I purchased an SSD for my father's computer, and now he wants Windows 10. If I get Windows 8 today, can he upgrade to Windows 10 for free soon, or should I wait until Windows 10 is fully released?

The system must run on Windows 8.1. Windows 10 will be offered for sale next month.

Currently, Windows 8 is more affordable than Windows 10, and it will likely receive a free update soon. Remember that the operating system is linked to the motherboard, not the hard drive or SSD.

It functions via a Windows update similar to Windows 10, yet it operates differently from Windows 10.

Certainly, he likely prefers a 64-bit system rather than a 32-bit one.

It’s best to purchase version 8.1 to ensure the user gets the Windows 10 upgrade.

I'll take this site into account as well. He requires a 64-bit version that's accurate.
