Hello everyone, I just bought an Asus GL551JW laptop and wanted to add an SSD for storage. I’m curious about the best method for a clean Windows 10 installation on the new drive. I understand the boot key is stored in the BIOS, and I’ve seen examples where using specific images (like HP’s) is necessary. Since this laptop came pre-installed with Windows 10 without any discs, would it be possible to download a fresh Windows 10 ISO and let it detect the key automatically? Alternatively, if I use a tool like Magic Jelly Bean to find the key, could I input it during the installation process? My backup idea is creating an image, loading it onto the SSD, and then performing a factory reset for a clean setup. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Opt for downloading the ISO directly from the provided link, creating a bootable USB, and installing it. (Remember to install your drivers.)

Clone the original HDD onto the SSD with Acronis True Image or a comparable tool, set up the SSD, restore online access, and reset to factory settings via the built-in option. Remove all unnecessary software, enter your desired preferences, and you're done! It's highly advised against tampering or modifying your license—risking serious issues and potentially voiding your warranty on the new laptop.

Thanks for the support! I plan to use Acronis to create an image and then perform a factory reset.
