Setting up Windows 10
Setting up Windows 10
I’ll set up Windows 10 on your SSD while keeping your current OS on your HDD. All your downloads, documents, music, etc., will move to the SSD since you have limited space there. Your operating system will remain on the HDD, but the files you need will be transferred there.
Installing from scratch on an SSD ensures a fresh Windows 10 setup without any hidden file imports.
Restart all applications on the operating system drive you're using, such as your new SSD.
The updated system will place itself wherever you choose. It won’t change unless you opt for an upgrade. If you do, it will install on the identical drive it’s set to use.
