Setting up two new windows
Hey everyone, I’m on a bit of a setup challenge. I have a 1TB hard drive with Windows 10 installed, and I want to switch to Windows 8.1 on my 150GB drive. The issue is that after installing 8.1, I didn’t uninstall the USB stick during the first restart, so it kept launching the setup again. I tried cancelling it and then removed the stick, but now I can only choose between 10 and 8.1. I can use 10 on my 1TB drive, but on the 150GB one, it shows 8.1—however, I can’t actually install it there because there’s no option. It’s frustrating!
When installing Windows, you should remove the USB drive once the installation is complete and the system is fully set up. This helps prevent any conflicts or issues during operation.
When you reach your desktop, you can delete it. You might also clear it sooner, though that’s just a precaution.
Absolutely not during installation. If your machine starts up first, shut it down and disconnect it before accessing the setup interface.
