Recently went back to Windows 7 (64 bit) and decided hey I should probably get these usb 3.0 ports working Installed "Intel USB 3.0 Driver" straight from my motherboard's website, and not only is the device manager the same, it's added one more item that just says "Unknown Device" Great!

They follow these steps: click right-click on the unknown device, remove it, and avoid any future issues!

Received incorrect USB 3.0 drivers. Likely missing SATA controller, graphics card, or chipset driver installation. Ensure those are added. After completion, turn on Aero for optimal performance. Aero Basic relies on CPU for rendering, which is less efficient; use GP.U. User Aero for better GPU handling.

The official MSI site lists Intel USB 3.0 drivers for your exact motherboard, which seems odd and confusing. Thanks for bringing this to attention. Appreciate the feedback!

I realize there was a mistake in my post. My thoughts weren’t what I ended up writing. I’m surprised I missed it. Apologies for the oversight—I fixed it. The issue was in the final sentence.

Intel's motherboards include a USB 3.0 controller built into the PCB. The ASmedia module serves as an additional component on the board.
