If the alternative drive appears as D:/, E:/, etc., you can direct the installer to that location and it will handle the rest. Organizing folders might be helpful, but it’s usually not necessary beyond that. This approach is quite typical.
Moved to Windows *** Created folders for applications on both storage devices. During installation, I could only change the drive letter to identify which software would be installed. This happened before the larger SSD was added.
