I’m looking to revisit DAZ3D again after a long break, but the Content Manager Service isn’t functioning properly. Because of that, I’m stuck using Linux with Wine and missing extra content. I’m considering installing Windows onto my existing USB drive, which I already own. Since I have the Windows installation media for Windows 8, I don’t want to buy a new copy. My system is currently running Manjaro Linux on the second SSD and using the first SSD as a Linux game drive. I’d like to switch that Windows drive to my USB HDD. Is there a specific method or way to do this? I’m only planning to use it for this computer.

Ensure Windows is ready to start. Utilize software such as Rufus or Windows 10 Enterprise to create a Windows USB from an HDD or SSD.

I believed Microsoft recently removed that feature.

It should remain functional, though testing is possible if needed. This manual is intended for creating a Windows to disk setup and may also apply.

Currently I’m just trying to run DAZ3D, but the way to access the Content Manager Service feels complicated compared to what I’d like.

I’m close to finishing the download of the Windows 10 ISO from the provided links. For building a bootable Windows 10 image with Linux via WoeUSB, refer to the suggested guide here.

Ignore the Windows setup that refuses to install on a USB HDD/SSD. It’s unclear whether wiping my Linux files would be necessary, particularly my data stored on the Linux drive. It seems I might need to switch to using a Windows game SSD or purchase another SATA drive for installing Windows...
