@Netivity The issue remains unresolved; additionally, the software appears to attempt altering my monitor's resolution rather than adjusting the game's settings.

One game works flawlessly in fullscreen on a standard host system with Windows 10 and 7, while other titles mostly run in 16-bit mode and a few are 32-bit, which Windows has issues with. I'm unsure exactly what this means, but the VM I'm using is VMWare's Workstation Player 12. I plan to install Windows 98 on the VM to check if it improves the situation.

Appreciate the setup for your friend with gaming. Hope everything functions smoothly. Glad I kept my WinXP ready for those older titles I installed in my last build. Need for Speed still feels great.
