PC specifications: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-core processor, Noctua NH-D15 CHROMAX.BLACK cooler (82.52 CFM) for $243 on Amazon, Asus ROG Strix X570-E motherboard ($319.99), G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB DDR4 memory ($169.99), Gigabyte AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD ($179.99), MSI GeForce RTX 3080 ($1,585.98), be quiet! case ($99.90), Corsair RM 850W power supply ($172.04). Running at stock temps, CPU stays between 75-80°C. Cooler helped lower temps to 45-50°C but limited clocks to 3.9GHz. I suspect cooler performance isn’t the main issue. If you want better thermal control without cutting clock speeds, consider these settings or programs: focus on fan tuning, thermal monitoring tools, and stable BIOS updates. Start simple, test changes gradually. Good luck!

Current software includes ASUS AI Suite 3, RAMCache III, Ryzen Master BIOS, and HWMonitor.

Assuming XMP is active, we should hold off on anything for a few more months until the BIOS update comes that unlocks the curve optimizer.
