I bought the 970 PRO 1TB at a discount while it was on sale and also got a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C ACASIS NVME case. They omitted the screws and sent another one, but the ones on that second one came out stripped and too long for the case. The case itself has great reviews; Crystal Mark rates it for stable 1000MB/s performance from many users, which is better than most alternatives. I bought this along with a non-NVME drive enclosure that has quick-release holes so I can easily drill in and customize it instead of always using the included screws. Maybe I’ll even 3D print a new one when I get another purchase.

Recently, after installing Windows 10 Pro fresh, a worm entered the system shortly after going online—it was fun to remove. I only downloaded a few things: NVidia drivers, AVG Free, Spybot, Chrome, and Windows updates. Before doing that again, I plan to pre-install or pre-load Windows 10 Pro onto the NVME drive with all updates already installed. This would save me time and ensure everything like video card drivers, chipset, and audio is ready on a flash drive before going online.

I haven’t tried pre-loading before, but I’ll download the latest ISO from Microsoft, hoping it includes most updates. Do you know if there’s a guide or command to do this without installing or activating? I remember hearing about a command-line option, but I’m not sure what it is and I don’t think Microsoft made their site much easier to use for this purpose.
