Hello, I just connected my UPS but it displays a 0% battery level even though it's plugged in and not charging. Removing the USB connection clears the battery indicator. Do I have to turn on any particular feature to fix this? Thanks in advance. Note: I'm using Kubuntu with an EATON UPS.

It looks like you just connected it, perhaps it requires a bit of time to charge...

It seems to be completely charged. It was connected for a long time on another device, and the battery looks fine.

Hello, it looks like your distribution system included apcupsd instead of nut for managing UPS. Apcupsd functions well for APC units but often displays zero values for certain Eaton models. You can check this by running "sudo apcaccess" to see if the issue exists. If it does and shows incorrect numbers, you're using apcupsd. It's worth noting that switching to "nut" (network UPS tools) tends to work better with Eaton devices.

Thanks for that. Meanwhile I found out that there is a Software to manage all that Eaton provides (well, actually 2). There is Eaton Intelligent Power Protector (IPP) and Eaton Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) . The difference between these two can be read here: https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1...tector-ipp There is a User's Guide for IPP , which is very helpful: https://www.eaton.com/content/dam/eaton/...000291.pdf After installing the Software you need to open the Web interface: https://localhost:4680/ Then login with; User: admin, PW, admin This is all what's needed. Then you can manage all the stuff. However, I still have the issue that once the UPS shuts down the System, there is a connection failure afterwards. After about 2h the communication failure somehow resolves itself and it works again. I made a post regarding this issue here (haven't gotten any response yet tho but if there will be ever an answer to this, it might be there): https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2...on-failure
