I performed the upgrade from W7, but my system's performance has been poor. For example, even at the lowest settings in GTA5, I can't sustain 60fps, whereas on W7 it never drops below 74 at high settings. I'm planning a clean install and noticed the "Reset the PC" feature. If I select to wipe everything, is that equivalent to a full reinstall? Would I need a physical Windows 10 copy to achieve this?

Restarting the PC essentially means reinstalling it. You probably won’t require an installation disc, though I’ve encountered situations where it was necessary. Keeping one on hand could be useful if needed.

When resetting your PC, it’s best to perform a full clean install for peace of mind. Simply obtain the media creation software, use a single-layer DVD or a 4GB flash drive, and you’ll be set for installing the operating system.

I don't possess a version of W10, to be honest.

Consider checking drivers and system settings first for the FPS issue.
