I understand concerns about upgrading older CPUs. It’s true that some boards allow BIOS flashing without replacing the CPU, but it can be tricky and costly. There are no simple shortcuts—updating the BIOS is often necessary before installing a newer processor. If you’re building from scratch, make sure your motherboard supports the Ryzen 5000 socket and verify compatibility with the latest BIOS version. You might also explore official manufacturer guides or community forums for specific board recommendations. It’s better to be safe than risk damaging components or missing out on performance benefits.

The AORUS X570 Ultra highlights Q-Flash, but the I/O panel lacks a physical button for it. The official product page features a video demonstrating the Q-Flash function, which isn’t present on the actual hardware. Could there be a discrepancy in the information?

In the end I chose the ASUS Strix X570-E Gaming. The absence of buttons on the IO wasn't reassuring despite the mention of it. This model clearly has buttons visible at the back. It's possible they're hidden elsewhere, but this one offers strong power delivery. The price is almost identical, and I have solid experience with ASUS overall, particularly regarding BIOS. Sorry to Gigabyte. Perhaps another time.
