Sure, you can connect the printer directly to the network port. Since your servers are running Server 2019 and you're using Active Directory, the printer will be accessible through the network and managed centrally. You don’t need to install it on each desktop—just set up the printer on the server and share it via the network.

I’d just link the printer to the server and make it accessible through the network. In the unlikely event, you’d need to fetch drivers from the manufacturer. Just keep an eye on what you’re downloading and installing.

I've spent relatively little time on Server2019 lately. Most of my work has been in the local IT sector and with small companies, though much of it is moving to the cloud now.

You can simply reserve an IP address for it and then attach it to each PC as needed, right? You could also include it on the server so it’s accessible via the domain, or use additional tools for tracking usage.
