Just a note, the Tech Preview ends near when Windows 10 retail launches. You'll still have to purchase Windows eventually. After that release, you'll need to do a full install of Windows 10 retail since the Tech Preview can't be upgraded. As long as you're comfortable with those requirements and all the details from the discussion, go for it. It's still early access software with some issues, but it works if you're tech-savvy.
Sure, I'll make sure to check if I'm technical when you ask and respond accordingly.
Even though many think so, I actually oversee IT operations. My wife likely only uses the internet and email, which means we’re safe. Thanks!
I've been using Windows 10 for a few days and it seems really good. Last night I lost access to the start menu—even though the right-click option still worked for admin tasks, which others have experienced. Eventually, I managed to resolve it by editing a registry value. After restarting, it looked more like a newer version rather than Windows 8. I thought it was perfect at first. I’ll need to try updated builds soon since my build appears to be one of the originals (I wanted to see how it evolved).
