Hi guys
I have a new pc built around the MSI Z270 Tomahawk Artic motherboard with 32gb of corsair 3200mhz RAM and i7 7700K CPU.
In the BIOS I have the XMP profile switched on but the ram is still only running at 1333mhz. I've updated the BIOS but no joy.
Is there anything else I can try? Would you just set manually?

Right, I just got sight of it on
their support site
.
I assume you flashed the BIOS manually off a pen drive? If not, then might be worth it in reflashing. Another thing to do would be to manually set the timings within BIOS provided you know the timings alongside that 3200MHz number. You'll find the info on the sticker on the sticks of ram. If you're unsure, then pass on a link to the ram kit(listing it on your specs would've removed this step).

So let me confirm this correctly – you're certain the RAM is listed in BIOS/CPU-Z as DDR4-1333MHz? That would be impossible because DDR4 speeds start at 2133MHz or higher, and their halves would appear as 2666MHz in CPU-Z's memory section.
DDR stands for Dual Data Rate, so any value you see should be doubled. For example, 1333MHz in CPU-Z actually corresponds to 2666MHz.
For clarity, please share the full specifications of your system, including the operating system.

Well obviously I might be wrong about saying 1333mhz, but it definitely isn't 3200mhz. I'm not facing the PC right now so I can't verify again.

When you return to this discussion, also mention the BIOS version on your MSI board.

It is the most recent update. I ran it last evening.
Its release is B.1 from February 9, 2017.

Thanks a lot! Your assistance means a lot. I'm glad you could help. I used Flash on a pen drive.
The RAM is available here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01E...UTF8&psc=1

They were discovered on Corsair's website. Their settings are 16-18-18-36. Just enter them, adjust the frequency to 3200MHz, set the voltage to 1.35v, apply and restart. Try it out.
